I have been a key management member of the ScootDawg forums for a number of years. There is a lot of knowledgeable people here and a lot of good advice. That said free advice is worth exactly what you paid for it. Verify what you learn, and don’t let the internet “trolls” get to you. As big forums go ScootDawg is pretty laid back.
One of the oldest and largest scooter forums out there. Good source for classic scooter information but does have an import board. Folks there tend to be a bit immature in their posting, and can be a bit intolerant of newbies. Take the snipes with a grain of salt and you CAN learn a great deal here.
The Scooter Professor
Brand new forum by scooter GURU JAck Ryan. Will have tons of manuals, tips, tricks, how to’s, and more. Keep checking in for more updates and feel free to sign up and post if you need help with a tech issue.
A fairly new forum started by another old ScootDawg faithful. Great group of folks, friendly and helpful. Be sure to check out the “Daisy” swag..LOL
A new forum full of helpful folks with an incredible background in scooter repair. If you are a do it yourself type and get stuck or have a question this is the place for you!
A fantastic forum just for the ladies. Very friendly and helpful group. Face it girls sometimes it’s just easier to learn form other women than us impatient, intolerant, men. Especially when you add in we have no fashion sense.
The Scooter Scoop
The best site on the web for the latest and greatest in scooter and micro-car news. Been around a long time and has tons of great stuff.
Just Gotta Scoot Great full featured website with news, reviews, tips, industry trends and more.
American Classic Scoots

Classic Scoot Repair
Founded by my fellow scooterist Andrew, Scooter Rescue is a site devoted to classic Vespas and Lambrettas. Andrew has been know to assist folks with repairs and restorations to these proud machines and sometimes even has one or two for sale. Great links on his site for parts resources as well as a good write up on being wary of “Viet Nam” imported scoots.
Great forum, gallery, and resource for all moped enthusiasts. Maturity level can be a bit low on the forum but you can get some excellent information here. Found a moped and not sure what it is? You can research it here!
One of the best sources here in Maine for Moped repair, advice, or a good used Moped is my good friend Justin Doody. Located just on the outskirts of Brunswick Justin has a fantastic collection of vintage mopeds. I recognize him as an authority on Puch’s especially and he usually has a few for sale. Justin does this part time and the best way to reach him is by E-mail. jtdoody at yahoo dot com (You can figure that out right?)

UBM promotes motorcycle awareness, safe and lawful riding practices, as well as fair motorcycle legislation.” Give these folks your support! They do this for you.
